Preparation is part of the fun!

I hate the unexpected, and I constantly worry before and during a voyage: usually, panic reaches its maximum at the time of departure, but then I take comfort in the notion that we are well prepared and documented, and I relax a bit.

Clearly, an ocean voyage requires a special preparation which in some areas goes far beyond what required for coastal cruising.

In these pages I intend to summarize the information which influenced our choices on a number of subjects; nothing original, but rather the conclusions that we reached after our research and obviously taking into account our budget's limitations and the size of the boat!
Clearly, in few years' time, or with a more generous budget, conclusions may be entirely different.

NOTE: at the end of the voyage, we have posted quite a few articles on our Blog, with the feedback from our experience.
